Absolutely it is wrong. As far as scripture is concerned there are no modern day Prophets in sense of Jeremiah, Elijah, Isaiah, Daniel and a list of others. If you take a look at 1Corinthians 12. The latter modern term of Prophet means one who teaches. The bible is the fulfillment of God's word and instruction for us. Every thing we need is in the word of God. Let the word of God always be the measuring stick for our lives and the lives of others. Let's take a look what the word says concerning prophets and compare them to today's prophets. The true prophets of old spoke forth the words of God and there words where specific in addressing a problem or situation. Amos 9, Jer. 19, Is. 20 and much more] Modern day [prophets] generally speak very vague or unclearly concerning a situation. As if they are doing a process of elimination figuring out your matter by some bodily response or outburst. Most importantly true prophets of the old spoke of warnings and judgment to bring the people to repentance. Most if not all modern day prophets speak words of prosperity, comfort or various blessings with little if not any words of repentance or order. Not to mention all the while they will tell you whatever you need is predicated on what you give in the plate. My advice to you is to first pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance on finding a Holy Spirit filled person to help you with your situation by the word. If you are incapable of finding the answer. Remember everything you need is in the Word. No man has any special revelation or relationship with God more than you do. God bless write me anytime.

A prophet will only prophesy at Gods behest, if he does otherwise, he is against God, like all who fortune tell and try to predict the future for money or not

I think it is wrong as the knowledge of your future can play havoc to your life. Either you may be told wonderful news about your life which realistically doesn't happen - a matter of counting your chickens before the eggs are hatched, or bad news which doesn't prove true either. I think it is better to let life take its course instead of relying on someone's predictions.
Life is more exciting with surprises rather than if we have advance knowledge of our future.

We create our own destiny in every action we take or thought we think (called manifesting). If you ask a tellor about your future, bear in mind that by bringing a particular future into the spoken word it is more likely to become actual.
Also some of us have the power to change the direction of our destiny in split seconds if we so choose (people who are quite a way down their spiritual journey), meaning that in an instant the outcome of a reading can alter if we desire that to be the case

If a true Prophet from GOD has a word for you, they will give it to you. No need to ask.

Why must you rely on knowing the future? Be proud in living the present and do not fear that which you cannot know.
