No, if you short yourself on sleep, it will catch up to you. Your body needs what it needs and will eventually just shut down and sleep.

Reducing sleep is okay, but remember your body will tell you if its getting too tired, You can sleep 6 hrs a night and be okay, but getting less than that over a long period of time can be dangerous. Insomnia can develop after not sleeping and over excertion. So be careful, why do you want to avoid sleep anyway? Why not just try to manage your awake time better?

Best of luck.

YES, YOU CAN! Firstly, you must go to bed before 9:00 pm. if you wake up at 5:00 am, you will feel like you got more sleep than if you went to bed at midnight, then woke up at noon the next day. Also, try your absolite best not to exhaust yourself during the day. Dont run, or sweat, or work out. Lie down, read a book, or sit at your office chair so you will not waste energy. I hope this helps! It's defenatly worked for me when my hours changed and I had to sleep less. good luck!

Unlikely. You have a body clock that looks after this sort of thing, and you have to go with the flow.

Short-term, there are stimulants that will keep you awake.
