On my right foot, my 2nd toe overlaps with my big toe. What causes this, and what is this called? People, who see my feet when I wear my sandals, ask me how I can walk, and why my toes overlap. I tell them I was born this way, but I am not too sure. Any ideas?

I know some people who have the same problem you do and it's because of the shoes they wear. They need to wear wider shoes so there toes can have room.

It is called OVERRIDING OF THE TOE. Sometimes congenital, but usually because of the habit of wearing tight POINTED shoes. Can be corrected surgically, or by sustained physiotherapy.
