Dry spots of skin on your body?

Lately, I've been having small patches of dry spots on my skin - usually on my arms and under my arms. I've been using moisturizer on it for a few days now, and they still persist.

Any ideas on what it could be and do you have any remedies?

Buy a bottle of mineral oil, usually found by the baby oil, and rub it on after a shower, it soaks into the skin and heals it.

it could be ringworm, just kidding, see a dermatologist to be certain though.
