If your car stereo has the XM logo on it, all you would need is to take it to a car stereo installer and get an antenna installed, and then you would need to call XM to get your subscription started. OR.... If your stereo does not have an XM logo on it, you will have to buy a satellite radio, and then start a subscription. The radio then transmits an FM signal, all you'd then need to do is tune your radio to that station, and enjoy....

And if you are goanna buy a radio and a subscription, I would suggest getting Sirius over XM. Most of the programming, music wise is about the same, but Sirius has more clout, bigger names on its channels, The Who, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Eminem, Howard Stern, Martha Stewart, Disney Radio, etc, etc, etc... .All have their own channels on there.

but good luck eitherway...

I have XM, all my friends have Sirius. I wish I had Sirius. Better music, and they have NFL. Unless you like MLB and Nascar, get Sirius. You pay 13 bucks a month for each, there's no contract (I think), but they bill you 6 months at a time (XM does, I don't know about sirius).

Get an FM Modulated setup...

all you have to do is set your radio station on a certain channel and your satellite receiver will play over your existing car stereo.
