The statuatory issue only comes up if there is a "real" issue.
I assume both your parents know you are dating?
Ask them. OK you might want to ask mom not dad.

Technically its not statitory rape unless the minor is younger than the age of consent, which in most states is around the age of 16. also even if someone claims you statitorialy raped your partner they cant prove it with out the consent of either party, so theres really no need to worry about it.

some States have dropped the consent age to sixteen.... i do no longer understand approximately Maryland yet with him being 17 he remains legally a minor and so via regulation i'm quite particular their isn't something she will do.........
