This is a "FAD" diet and fad diets are never a wise idea. They deplete your body of the proper nutrients it requires to function as well as to properly lose that weight you desire. The body requires the 6 essential nutrients which are vitamins, minerals, water, fats, carbs and protein. These nutirents work together. They need each other in order to function properly. Depleting these nutrients only cause more harm than good.

To properly lose weight, you need to keep your fat intake low and eliminate saturated fats while maintaning omega 3 (fish). Consume complex carbs and avoid all sugars. Most important is protein. It should be roughly 50% of your intake depending on your overall daily activity.

Obviously, the idea is to burn more calories than you consume. To do this you need to do a minimum of 30 minutes of cardio exercise at 60 to 80% of your peak heart rate level. The higher the intensity and the longer the exercise, the better the results.

My dad went on a diet of only raw vegetables and fruits. No dairy, no meat. He also did 1 hour of Bikram Yoga a day (for about 9 months now) and he has lost 65 pounds!! He was a heavy drinker and smoker and totally turned his life around!!

Also, you can get protien, carbs and fat from several vegetables. Only it will be the healthy kind, the kind that is good for your body.
Potatoes are a great source of carbohydrate, and avocados have good fat. The fat and carbs that you get from meat and processed food is NOT good for you at all!!!

If you have the time and patience, i think it's is the most effective, healthiest way to lose weight! Good luck.

No never did and it doesn't sound very healthy if on it for a long time. You need some protein, some fat and some carbs. I would check with a doctor before starting that diet. See what he says.

If you are serious about losing weight, the calories
in the food you eat should be less than the
energy you use. You will have to increase your
metabolic rate now, and plan your diet carefully.
Formulate your own weight loss plan and you will
lose weight faster. More details available at
