Owl is also a common bird… let him keep screeching, hissing or whatever… it is definitely NOT A BAD OMEN… he might be wounded or indisposed let him live there… it is a beautiful and peaceful bird… and not harmful at all…

no it's probably calling for a mate or it could be a young owl ( young develop all their feathers at about eight weeks old) calling for its parents, but the parents will be ignoring it to try and get it to hunt for itself. it sounds like a barn owl to me.
