The heat from the water warms, and thins the blood making it travel through your body faster, and thus intoxicates yoiu faster.

that's why alot of bars keep it much colder inside so that you have to drink more (and buy more) to get the same feeling. Then you go outside, and it really hits you!!!!

You're more relaxed and not up to speed as it were. Heat makes drinking far more intoxicating. Not that I've ever done that. *cough*

because the hot water speeds up your metabolic rate.
