I spent 8 years in the marine corps myself so im partial to my brother marines, but there not for everyone, go to go navy.com go army.com (etc) and see what they have to offer for your own personel needs and desires, that or go to your nearest recrutement center and talk with them personaly, no matter which way you go on your choice, if you get in and can hack the training you'll find yourself a better fit humanbeing.and no matter what branch you chose it falls true in all cattigories, you'll have an alliance of brothers that will be there for you and to help you out in almost all situations ,,,,,,,,,good luck too you always and god be with you,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Stinger5906,,,,,,,,,,

Play them against each other...
Go to each of the recruiting offices & talk with someone at each branch. They are pitted pretty fiercly for recruiting #'s so if you get your options at one & talk to the others about what you were offered you will get the best sign up deal/bonus in the end. As for the aspect of Family Friendly/Respect I'd say the Air Force probably treats their people the most like individuals. The Marines of course is your I'm a bass *** hard core branch. Navy Seals are the sexiest... status quo
Army is promotions fast reguardless of actual ability.
Before you choose though make sure you check out the locations of the bases for each branch...ie. FL has no Army base but it does have Air Force & Navy...this might effect your ability to be close to "home"
Best of Luck!

Think about the JOB you want to do. Go to a recuiter of each branch and ask a lot of questions. I'm in the Air Force and love it! The Air Force isn't all about flying, only officers who are pilots fly. I personally, ama weapons troop. my job is to load bombs and missiles on fighter jets and do mechanical and electrical work on them too. But can do just about anyhting in the Air Force: be a doctor, nurse, computer tech, mechanic, cop, dentist, and tons more.
FYI-basic training is a joke. It was so easy that I (a 5'2" 105 lbs female) was better than most of the guys in my brother flight. I had a lot of fun in basic training!

thats a hard question to answer.is there something you want to specialize in?has anyone in your family been in the military, if so what branch? some people like to carry the family name over in the same branch which is a traditional thing.you have to really know what you want to specialize in and see who ever comes closest to your expectations.i really can't tell you which one.thats a personal preference.maybe just give it some time and think it over.i'm sure you don't have to do it yesterday.good luck pete

the Air Force is the smartest branch, Navy next, then Army, then Marines.
Think about what you want to do as a civillian career for the rest of your life, then match that up with the appropriate skill in the military.

Think about what you like to do and then talk to the recruiters. Don't sign anything until you're certain.
