My kitten does this wierd thing where it looks like he's humping my bedspread he grabs it with his teeth and purrs while arching his back for like 10 min at a time. I got him fixed and he still does it. Why does he do anyone else have a cat that does this??

The question is not really why, but my question is WHEN did you get him fixed? That has a lot to do with it. You can't really do much about it. Not that I know of, anyway. I've had cats all my life. My cat runs around vibrating his tail in corners. He's trying to mark his teritory, but he's fixed. Your kitten might also be playing or trying to show the bedspread who's boss and that he's in controle. Is he the only cat you have? That could also have a lot to do with it if you have other cats. He might just be distructive or feel intimidated by your bed. I don't know. They're a lot of reasons why he could be doing that. You never know. How old is he? That might have some to do with it.

I use to have a female cat do the same thing. It was scarey! At night she would hold her butt up into my face, and I would pet her and she would begin to hump. She would purr and scream at the same time but all that ended when my cheating ex wife told me that I was confusing the cat and to stop it! Ever since then the cat would sleep on me or beside me like a loyal bit-h!

Yes. Neutered males can sometimes do that humping behavior. Be glad he's doing it on the bedspread and not your arm!

I have a pixie bobcat that does that. I think it is just him being comfy in his home.
