I am going to get my hair cut today. My hair's length reaches just to the top of my shoulders. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thats what I'd do if you want something different. If you dont like it, it will grow back.

It depends on the shape of your face. If you had a recent picture of yourself posted in a link, we could give you a better idea of what would look great on you.
If the salon has hair imaging software(where you could see what you would look like with different styles), that would help. You can also flip through style books at the salon and discuss it with your stylist.

It all depends on the shape of your head. You could get your hair layered.
