OMG, my good friend is going through the exact same thing, however she went to a specialist for her "weight gain" issue in San Diego, Ca. She now has a rare fatty liver disease. They took a bunch of blood work and that is what they found. She keeps gaining weight a few pounds a month over a 9 month period, bad head aches, no energy, the tingling in her hands and slept all the time. The local doctors here did not find it. The specialist told her that it is because the doctors were only looking for certain things and the test he ran checked for everything. You might want to find a specialist in your area.

This sounds exactly like my husband he had high blood pressure and since he has been on bp meds everything is getting better for him. Keep a tab on your blood pressure for a while it could be normal at the dr's but still be high so when you are at wal-mart or someplace that has the bp machines check it and write it down in a journal and test it weekly for a couple of months then take the journal with you to the dr for him to analyze

My first wife was diagnosed with CFS, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. she slept literally 18+ hours a day for a few months before it was diagnosed. She has now learned how to manage it and in terms of recovery I would say she is successfully living with it. If you like I will try to hook you up with her IM. But I obviously won't give her addy out here ;) sorry. IM me if you are interested.
