C:21:22 error in Sony Handycam...any ideas?

I'm getting this error but when I eject the battery and put it back as instructed, the error reoccurs.

Any idea what is wrong?

Error: C:21 or a moisture condensation message is displayed in the viewfinder or LCD.

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue.

IMPORTANT: Error code C:21 will be displayed when moisture condensation has occurred.

Turn off the camcorder.
Place the camcorder in an environmentally controlled area.
Open the media compartment.
Remove the media.
Leave the media compartment open for at least one hour.
Insert new media into the media compartment.
Close the media compartment.
Turn on the camcorder.
NOTE: If error code C:21 is still displayed after following the troubleshooting steps above, service will be required.

Error code C:22 is displayed on the LCD screen.

Error code C:22 will be displayed when the video heads are dirty. Clean the video heads of the camcorder using a dry head-cleaning cassette.

NOTE: If code C:22 is still displayed after cleaning the video heads, then service may be required.

These camera's are actually under recall, but they are not notifying anyone, you just have to call to find out. All three of my daughters have tham and we have had to have all of them fixed. Go to the website for more details.

depending on how long you have had it.... could be a manufactor error in that case could be covered under warrenty if you had one, this sounds like a programming error id try to return it....
