It may not be his fault. Maybe it's really busy. I'd tip him. He delivers pizza. I'm sure he needs the money. Don't punish him for something that potentially is out of his control. Call the restaurant and complain. Maybe then the management will give you a certificate or something. Direct your discontent to management.

Yes, because more than likely its not his fault. The pizza makers are usually to blame because of too many orders.
If the pizza is late, call the store and explain the problem. They will usually give you a percentage off of your total or even give you a freebie.
Just still make sure to tip the delivery guy because that is how they get paid. Most of them do not have a salary but work for tips only.

Always tip the driver. Most of the time they are late do to someone inside the pizza place making the food or traffic. An accident is not worth a pizza. Most people that deliver want to be on time because that is their job.

Call the pizza place and take your grievance up with them. This happened to me awhile back, and the place gave us our pizza free AND gave us credit for our next order as well. I did not tip, and I did not feel guilty about it.
I should also add, the driver was NOT late due to an accident or traffic or anything like that. They simply did not deliver in the time specified.

My husband delivers pizza for extra money, it's his second job! Since he has been doing that; I have learned so much about pizza delivery! 9 times out of ten...it's the call centers mistake of why the pizza is late...or the cooks screwed up the order! It usually is'nt the delivery guys fault at all; but they are the ones who get penalized! It is very unfair! People have been so mean to my husband over this very subject...they are very unforgiving...maybe you need to put yourself in his shoes. The drivers have to pick up everyone elses slack...Please always tip the delivery guy!

You should call the pizza place to see why it is late. It could be completely their fault, not the delivery person.
If this is true, this should not change your tip.
If the delivery person is the cause of the lateness, go ahead and cut your tip in half.

When this happen to me, and the pizza finally arrived, it was cold. I called the pizza place and they said NO charge. We kept the pizza warmed it up, still gave the driver his 15% tip. It wasn't his fault.

try to find out why he was late, if it is the drivers fault then I would only give him 25¢ so he can get the hint an be on time next time. And I really think that they should consider that you are hungry and waiting for your food.
