Had a cheap and nasty perm at the cheapest and nastiest Hairdressers in town (followed advice from my 'its good enough for me' so called friend. BIG mistake!). I wanted a soft and wavy perm but while I was under the drier, I could feel it burning and ducked out. The girl (she seemed all of 12 years old) went and fetched another 'assistant' and together they mucked about a bit. It was obvious they hadn't a clue what they were doing. I came out all fuzzy, brittle and about 9 shades lighter than when I'd gone in. I'd refused to pay and they virtually shoved me out of the shop. I was so upset, I went straight to the most expensive shop in town who very kindly sat me down, even though they were full to bursting. They gave me a hugely conditioned wash and shaped the mess that was left on my head. Took photos of the burns and didn't charge me a penny. I went back every week for two months for a conditioning wash and they have been my hairdressers ever since. Even when I lived in Moscow and Bucharest, (and they moved premises trying to get rid of me!) I still flew 'home' to have my hair done.
It just shows, you get what you pay for!

I have naturally curly hair. It does wahtever it wants. I have tried many, many products, but nothing works like I would like it to. ( I used to have really frizzy hair too) When I was younger I used that Sun In stuff ( I have auburn color ) & fell asleep.. in my room, not the sun. I woke up with Ronald McDonald color. My mom was so mad she made me go to school like that for a week. Now I am older & wiser but they call me trolldoll or bighair at work. I will never leave the 80's. ( not by choice either )

No, yet my hair used to tutor particularly orange as quickly as I dyed my hair. It turns yellow from my salon, so i'm questioning approximately going brunette, lol, blonde is annoying me. i'm no longer able to in any respect get the colour ideal! I only easily need to declare that i think your soreness of undesirable hair days..for an prolonged time.

Back in the late '70's I let my mom give me a spiral perm. The style was supposed to be long spiral curls and tighter curls around my face. All it did was frizz my hair out and turn it almost orange, I looked like Ted Nugent.

I went to visit my cousin, and he tried to thin my hair with a thinning comb. But we didn't know the hair should have been dry. I had to go to the cinema with my hand clasped to the back of my head to disguise a bald stripe going down it. It was the same going home on the train.

Once I got the cutest pixie cut when I was going through my little punk chick phase.

Well, when it was time for a trim, the place I had gone before wasnt there anymore, so I just went somewhere else.

They screwed it up and gave me some random sterotypical lesbian cut. I hated it, and everyone thought I was "curious" for the longest time.

My mother, back in the sixties, and her friend decided to go platinum blonde. My mom's hair turned from dark brown to green and her friends hair broke off completely, she had to shave it off. My mom's dad kicked her out of the house until she came home with the hair colour god intended (3 months later).

I wanted to get my hair layered once but when the hairdresser had done butchering my hair, it looked as if she grabbed half of my hair and cut it off with a blunt scissors!
