It gets to the windows xp window before windows starts and it gets stuck there. Please help!

Boot it in Safe mode.
Or boot to recovery console if you have installed it.
In safe mode, check the Event Log in control panel to see if any drivers did not start. Otherwise start MSCONFIG from the Run prompt and disable everything you can before rebooting. If this works then one by one re-enable services and start up programs until you find the offending one. Then reinstall or remove it.

try to hold down the f1 button a cople of sec when u boot up, then use the menu there to find youre problem and possibly fix it
