My friend spooky just informed me of how combative I was being today with the christians, so we all know why they believe in god, but what would it take for you to believe in one?
I wish you well

Proof is hard. Is there evidence?
Is it easier to prove presence or absence?

Do athiest have "faith" in a "Void"?

Nothing but actually seeing him. Anyway, you seem to suggest we're eager to find that evidence, or that we're even looking for it. Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you. I don't believe because I don't have evidence, but I'm not in the market for that evidence, basically because I couldn't care less about whether there turns out to be a god or not. It's like a film in whose plot I have no interest. Whatever comes out won't change my life.

Completely impossible to prove God, I have been trying to figure that out for years.
All sorts of fantastic things, for example if God appeared in front of me and did half a dozen 'miracles' and spoke to me, then appeared to all the people of the world and spoke to them all together, and they all understood his voice.
I would still; l not believe , I would know it was a massive con trick.
Thats how certain I am that there is no God.
And I kid you not!!

Divine intervention and an actual appearance of a sky-daddy in the clouds (and I don't mean cloud formations that LOOK like a sky-daddy) would convince me of A god.. We'd then need confirmation of WHO'S god it was. Christian? Hindu? Greek?

Only then would I believe in a god. However, it still wouldn't convince me to actually WORSHIP that god.

They just have to get religion out of their head and open themselves to seeing God. Evidence is all around if your eyes are open. Just because a scientist figures out how or why something works doesn't make it less of a miracle.

How about a miracle. Those were "performed" all the time in the bible such as oceans being parted, etc. If I see that, I might just reconsider my position.

what would it take??? well in the first place its people like you who drive them away form religion, constantly trying to convert them or get them to indulge in some new odd law. why do they need to believe in god? why do they need to belive in your god? the hindus, andcient egyptians, andcient greeks all believe in their gods just as much as you do. whose to say who is right? some popel who just believe in god ina more mysterious sense but still just try to live life well by their own morals are often called atheists. but of all relgions i respect buddhism the most, they respect all religions(which u can believe in buddhism and 1 mroe relgion of your choice) and belive in personal self enlightenment(peace of mind). yes soem atheists are fools and assholes who will eventually break down and rejoin soem religion. religion has become a stone in the mind for some, when it is meant to wander freely among thoguhts

Only if it was to revealed itself to the whole world, in a way that there was no doubt that it existed. Isn't going to happen though is it.
