Hello. First of all let me say that I am so sorry to hear about your Grandfather.Right now the positive thing is that you used the phrase MAY have cancer. There could be many things that have similiar symptoms that cancer has.I am now in a EMT class and I was very shocked when I learned about different conditions mocking one another in their symptoms.Now...lets just say that the tests come back positive. There are wonderful treatments available today for cancer patients.Your Grandfather is also fairly young....60 is not that old!!His body should be strong enough to undergo treatment and help fight the cancer...IF he has cancer.Now...I will say this and it is a very direct statement. IF he has a condition that involves his liver....he will have a long road ahead of him. But that does not mean that he cant beat this.I will keep your Grandfather as well as you and your family in my thoughts.I hope my thoughts have helped ease a little of your concern.I am by no means an expert, but I read your concerns and felt that I should respond.

Maybe. Depends on how bad it is and if it's spread and if they can remove the part of the liver. The great thing about the liver is that if part is removed and the rest is healthy....it will grow back. Amazing. It all depends on what stage cancer, if it's spread and if it can be removed.
A month to find out if it's cancer?? I don't think so. No way. Takes no more than a few days at most. They can get results in 30 minutes if they realyl want to. He needs to push them to do this faster. Hard to believe your grandfather is 60. One of my sisters turned 60 today. LOL

We can all conjecture, but what you really need are those test results. A month to get results? That's ridiculous! He should go to another doctor.
Now: chances are he can beat the illness. Sixty is the new fifty. I know lots of cancer survivors. Medicine has come a long way. But what's with the monthlong wait? Go get a second opinion.

yes.
and as long as he gets treatment, he will be the best he can.
im very sorry for your anxiety and it sounds like you are very scared, but you are on the right track.. pray a lot.
do not be crushed if he does have it, because he will need his children and grandchildren to be positive and strong even more now.
maybe you could go to a library and do research on it, and look online when you get more information about exactly what he may have.

It is likely he will survive. Cancer treatment is a lot better than in years past. If his cancer was caught in time and he does what he should, he should be OK. My grandmother had a brain tumor 12 years ago. She had colon cancer 10 years ago. She just had her 89th b-day and is doing great. She lives alone, goes downstairs to do her laundry and tills her own garden every year.

You have to pray, and leave it and God hands. God will handle it and he will bring him out of it. Just be positive and be by his side.
