Buddhists and Hindus

I'm guessing a temple is a physical building that is holy, that has stuff sacrificed there, and possibly statues of their gods.

Religions that use temples:
1) Judaism did have a temple in Jerusalem that was destroyed in 70 AD. The passover sacrifice would occur there, as well as burnt offerings, etc.

2) Hinduism has temples where statues often are, and I'm sure there are many rituals including burning butter, grass, etc.

3) Buddhism has monastaries, and also temples with huge statues of buddha where they may meditate or burn incense

4) Zoroasterianism (modern called Parsi (means Persian)) have fire-temples that contain a fire that worshippers bring money to and sandelwood and then have the ash from the fire spread on their foreheads. Only the priests can go near the fire.

5) Shinto has shrines/temples that either contain the diety or are near the diety (which can be a mountain or a river, or a sword, etc.), worship and offerings are made there

6) Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods had their temples, but I don't think there are any running to this day.

If a temple's definition is simplified to a place considered holy where people worship:
Islam - Mecca
Sikhism - Golden Palace
Roman Catholics - The Vatican??

Well there are buddist and hindu temples, there WAS the Jewish Temple in Israel (but it was destroyed and can only be rebuilt in the same place but the doom of the rock sits there now). Latter-day-saint members worship in temples. I beleive other eastern religions worship in temples too.

Gen 28:17 And he was amazed, and said, How awsome is this place! this is none other then the House of Yahweh, and this is the gateway to the Kingdom of Yahweh.

Deuteronomy 12:5-8--
5 But YOU ARE TO SEEK THE HABITATION OF YOUR FATHER; THE HOUSE OF YAHWEH--the place which Yahweh your Father shall choose out of all your tribes to establish His Name--and THERE YOU MUST GO.

ISAYAH 2:2-6
2. It will come to pass in the last days, that the mountain; promotion, of THE HOUSE OF YAHWEH will be established (CAUSING HIS NAME TO DWELL THERE) in the chief of the nations (THE UNITED STATES IS THE CHIEF OF THE NATIONS RIGHT NOW), and will be raised above all congregations; and all nations will eventually flow to it.
3. And many people will go and say; Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the House of the Father of Yaaqob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For the Law will depart from Zion, and the word of Yahweh will depart from Yerusalem.
4. He will judge among the nations, and will rebuke many people; they will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war anymore.

I TIMOTHY 3:15
But if I am delayed, I write so that you may know the right and proper way to conduct yourself in THE HOUSE OF YAHWEH, who are the called out ones of the living Father, THE PILLAR AND GROUND OF THE TRUTH!
