Ask him if Proactive really works. I've heard from many people that they got very good results. It's worth a try, don't you think?

May I sugest something to you to consider before spending all your money by giving it to doctors or buying acne products. Fist let me say this. Acne is caused by a few things. Open pores in te skin collect oil , dirt and dust. Many people were taught to use a soap to wash their face. Soap, no matter what brand or kind , will stipr your face of its intended natural oils. So the first thing I would say you should do is forget the soap. Just get your water as warm as you can stand and get a wash cloth soak it in the water and wash yoyr face with just hot water. then after you feel your face is clean get the water cold and wash again. This hot will open the pores for cleanig and the cold will close the pores so no dirt can get in. The second thing I sugest is to buy some vitamin E the natural kind and start taking this vitamin daily . I promise you the problem will go away. We also know that some foods we eat can cause our skin to make more oil than it needs, so what do you do, stay away from these types of foods. Once your skin clears up then go ahead and have some of those foods. Chocolate is one enemy.Just an example. So try it and then If you give it time you will see a big improvement. Now if you ware any makeup make sure you clean your face everyday they way I stated and that should help fight against acne. Makeup often does the exact opposite of what we are trying to do for our skin. Its bad ,and if you dont ware it the better off your skin will be. Go natural,
save your skin from all the crap used to change the appearance who who you really are. We are all beautiful anyway so show off the beautiful skin that you will have if you try my advise.

Generally a good dermatologist starts conservatively. For most people topicals works well. I've found that doctors will prescribe oral for severe acne. Oral medication like Acutane have may side effects. Some of the oral treatments have been linked to birth defects, if you become pregnant while taking them.
