i need this for a class in school. its for life transitions if you have taken it. another question is how can you avoid making poor choices? and are there any agencies that can help if you experience problems dating?

Well the first date it is smart to go as a group. Make sure you trust the guy before you go one on one with him out somewhere. Also drive yourself or find your own ride and meet somewhere public like a restaurant. If he picks you up he can detour to some wooded area.

Don't get in a car with a man you don't know. Your first dates with a man who is not well known to you should involve meeting in public places, like restaurants and theaters, and you should always have your own ride home. don't get drunk. get to know him to get a feel for whether you can trust him. Find out where he lives and works, ask about his family, have him account for his life since high school. Any long period of time in which he hasn't worked or been going to school may be reason for concern.
Once you know more about him, like where he lives and works then you can trust him more. also, if you acquaintances in common, or you've had a good report about him from trusted friends or relatives, then that also can increase your confidence in him.
The only agencies I can think of that can help you with dating problems would be mental health clinics at which you can speak with a counselor.

1st- Meet your date in a public place
2nd- Let 2 or more people know where you are going...what time you will leave and expect to be back & the name & phone # of the person you're meeting
3rd- One way to make good choices is to listen to your gut....everybody has instinct
4th- Don't consume any alcohol or controlled substances...this way you can be fully aware of what's going on around you
5th- I don't know of any agencies...but I'm sure a self defense class couldn't hurt

the safest date is a public date, arriving and leaving separately. i think everyone makes poor choices at some point in life but if youre smart and pay attention to others mistakes then it will help you not to make those mistakes.

Pepper Spray is a good idea. It is also a good idea to have your cell phone handy (or change to use a phone if you don't have one). Also, I believe that it is a good idea to have enough money to take a cab/bus etc. home if needed. Plan your date at a public place. Drive yourself there if you can
I believe going with a gut instinct is important. If you get bad vibes it is a good idea to keep your guard up. Listen to your gut....it's usually right!

If its true that a woman knows what a guy is thinking at all times - you can get one who reconizes girls MIGHT be physically intimidated and wishes his girl to relax and be comfortable. In my case I come with refrences.
