A pressure cooker is sealed, and forces heat and steam into the food. It cooks very fast. Not like a crockpot, which is a ceramic tub with heating elements and a loose lid. It cooks very slowly, usually.
As to which you should buy, what do you plan to use it for? For the average plan ahead cook, I suspect a crock pot would fill the bill, and be cheaper and probably even safer.
By the way, whatever you cook in a crockpot has to have plenty of water or liquid to it -- which sort of limits it to soups and very wet casseroles.

The first two are the same. "A slow cooker, often referred to as a Crock-Pot®, is a countertop electrical home appliance that is used to cook stews and other dishes containing water at relatively low temperatures, with correspondingly long cooking times (several hours). Many recipes simply call for the ingredients to be put in the crock, with little preparation. The slow cooker can then safely be left to run unattended, making it a convenient cooking method." "Slow cooker" is the generic term. "Crock-Pot" is the most popular brand of slow cookers. Pressure cookers are very different from slow cookers in my opinion. "Pressure cooking is a method of cooking in a sealed vessel that does not permit air or liquids to escape below a preset pressure. Because water's boiling point increases as the pressure increases, the pressure built up inside the cooker allows the liquid in the pot to rise to a temperature higher than 100 °C (212 °F) before boiling. Pressure cookers usually look like regular metal pots. But they have lids that actually clamp or screw into place, keeping the steam inside. They often have pressure guages on the lid, too.

A crock pot cooks slowly over many hours througout the day while a pressure cooker cooks very quickly utilizing steam pressure to cook foods in about less than a third of the time. For instance you can cook an entire corned beef and cabbage dinner for a family in under an hour in a pressure cooker while in a crock pot it would take many hours thoughout the day to achieve the same results. The pressure cooker is a great way to cook and they are safe too. Of the two, I would pick the pressure cooker if I could only select one way to cook.

crock pot is used to cook the food slowly pressure cookers cooks the food at a boiling temp the entire time used for some beans and making jelly and jam. crock pot is wonderful for anything makes the food tender. great for meats and soups and beans. it does take longer generally from 2 to 8 hours depending on the food. the crock pot i believe is a better purchase you will get more use out of it than a pressure cooker, its great to for a busy person fix it the night before or in the morning and its ready by diner time

It depends the kind of cooking you want to do. If you want to slow-cook all day long, the crock is for you.
If you need it done in a hurry, the pressure cooker for you
