You didn't mention how many days or what your ports will be. We just went on one last May, 7 nights to the western caribbean, and it was awesome !!
Depending on what you plan to do, in the way of excursions, will also determine how much $$ to expect to spend. A credit card is the way to go. Cash for the ports of course will be neccessary. There is also an ATM on board !!
Have fun.

Go for Carnival, the are one of the cheaper cruise lines. Before the cruise you pay for the main amount, what ever that may be. And then you have to add tips on, about $70 american a day. There isn't much else to spend money on, you get a card that you put purchases on to and then you pay the total at the end of the trip, well it comes off your cedit card. When you get off the boat you wil need money to take a taxi etc. The taxi's are quite expensive, way more then canada or the states. Go to the shows on the boat, the ones on Carnival Valor (eastern caribbean) were amazing and very entertaining. They have lots of dances and disco type things all night so be sure to check those out. Hope that helps, enjoy the caribbean!!

This is a hard question to answer. First wisit the cruise lines home pages there you can fin answers on all the basic info and booking info. First choise the cruise line then a start port and finaly what cruise you would like to go on. If you know you would like to go on a particular ship the the itenarys is more limited, just look up the correct cruis line and that ship. For first time cruisers I would recommend a window or balcony cabin that is as big and as high up that you can afford. When coming abord a ship for the first time, cabins (except the largest suites) will look small. Cruise is probebly the best form of vacation ever invented! Good luck! Johan

Figure 10 dollars a day for tips (most cruiselines add this to your room account), since you cant drink you dont have to worry about a bar tab...

The two cruises I went on, I brought $400 cash for the ports, and the cruise ship charges go on your room bill. Keep track of that or that will shock the hell out of you.

Look through the excursions for things to do while in port. OR hop in a cab and say "take me to ... "whatever interests you, shopping, beaches, etc. Just watch the time so you dont miss the boat...

umm depends on how long the cruise is, i went on a 4 day cruise and took i think about 300 (usa) dollors and this summer i went on a 7 day cruise and took i believe five hundred to seven hundre i cant remeber but it all depends on how long the cruise and drinks are not extra with most cruise lines and how much you have to pay for stuuf like we had to pay ten dollors a day for room service charge but you pay it right when you get on bored and so they just take it out of ur account because you dont pay in cash they give you a card and they take wht ever mony you want and put it on that and you just use that card the whole time

Is your cruise booked aready, first find out if there is a age restriction on the ship.More than likely you will have to be with a person that is a escort because of your age. There are a lot of programs onboard that you can hook up with to have a good time.

I bring about $100.00 a day per person to spend. You will get an activity sheet every morning and this will let you see what activities will be held that day and you can pick and choose what you want to do. Make you you try something you ordinarily wouldn't do or at dinner order something you have never had, if you don't care for it, order something else. Have a great time you will have a blast.
