The best thing to do is go to a salon, red is a very hard color to get out. If you decide to do it at home just call the 1800 number or whichever number is located on the hair color box to help. You'd probably need an Ash color.

I have blonde hair and tried to dye it brown (with permanent dye) but it ended up red. I didn't feel like spending more money or damaging my hair by trying to dye it again, so I just used regular shampoo and let the dye come out naturally. Even though it's supposedly permanent, if you don't use the special shampoo for "color treated hair" the regular shampoo will gradually strip the color out.

The fact that I'm a blonde and the color came out completely within a couple weeks means that with your daughters brown hair, the color probably won't stay very long.

I dye my hair all the time! My best advice is you will need to tell her to wait at least 2 more weeks so she does not damage her hair. I am no beauty expert but from my experience I would suggest this. The color can't be that bad. Maybe compliment that it brings her eyes out or her skin color, so she will feel a little more confident with it. Until she can dye her hair again.

find a hair dye close to her natural color and dye it then let it grow out.

You have to take her to a professional to have them strip it, dye it and tone it. It's very difficult to do at home.
