The abusive and cruel manner in which the baby suffers death, there is the further (and final) abuse of murder itself. Not only is the baby abused in the way it dies, it is abused in losing the privilege of life itself. In view of this, it is twisted reasoning which claims that abortion avoids abuse. Abortion is abuseone of the worst abuses of all.

If we can murder the unborn to prevent potential abuse, then why not murder the born who are undergoing actual abuse? Or, to put it the other way, if we protect the born who are undergoing child abuse, then should not we all the more protect the unborn, who are even more defenseless?

Snoooooore. Snoooore.

(yawn), er...ah yes, abortions will continue happening worldwide, no matter what you and your kind try.

It's a human factor, like war, prostitution, murder, etc. You can't eradicate it. Period. Good night! zzzz

No you are trying to force a person belief on others. Of course there is a point where it would be considered a life to be protected. Late term abortions should only be permitted to protect the mother. The definition of life could go back to regarding the sperm and egg as life also and in a similar way it is. Take out the extremes on both sides of this issue and a compromise can be reached which would at least get you closer to where you want to be.

No. Early abortion may be quite painless (I am pro-life, BTW). But sexual abuse, torture, extreme poverty, death by starvation, dying from AIDS, being mutilated by the bombs of war. That's probably worse and more painful.

I am not justifying abortion. There is 98% of the time probably a better option or 99% of the time a way to have avoid this crisis all together. But I would like you to put this in perspective. Prolifers voted in Bush, hoping he would do something about abortion and gay marriage (not that everyone feels the same about both). Bush has don't a darn thing about either.

So what about that war in Iraq? I think that puts abortion into perspective for me.

Now you just wait till they find the gay gene and all the pro-lifers suddenly decide to abort gay babies? Or will they decide being gays better than being aborted?

Don't polarize everything. Female Dogs eat their young, abortion is a natural part of the universe. That doesn't mean it isn't harmful, painful, or emotional devestating, but it's not the end of the world, and it isn't the worst way to die.

(That's my opinion, and I still respect yours)

In a very simplistic answer...

I personally believe abortion should be the choice of last resort. It can prevent the future abuse of an unwanted child, which can have devastating effects on society in the long term.

Dude I think you are in the wrong forum but yes I agree with you on all counts. Honestly I do not see how a person who calls themselves a Christian or Catholic can go and willingly kill their unborn child. They must not think the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment doesn't apply to them. And God knows everything we do. And we will answer to the Almighty regarding all our actions in this life. And yes the child does suffer. Not only is it deprived of the chance to live by it's ungrateful mother but it is also suffering in the way it is terminated. Maybe these pro choice people should look at abortion pictures and then maybe God willing they'll see the horrendous stupidity of their actions.

I'm sorry, but I disagree. A fetus is not a living being. It is a collection of cells. And a woman should have the right to decide what to do with her body, particularly in the case where the woman has been a victim of a crime or abuse. No woman should be forced to carry a child to term. I think it's far more harmful to the child to be allowed to be born, knowing that the child is unwanted, and then make it suffer abuse every day of its life.

If our answer does not meet with your approval, does that mean we get a thumbs down?? Why post a question if you do not want honest answers--only someone to agree with you. Nuff said. I'll take the thumbs down, now.

I believe it's murder of the worst kind, killing a innocent life.

Remember that the terminated foetus has no mental awareness so it isnt actualy alive. So in my opinion abortion is ok.

If you were a gal and had been raped would you want an anwanted child to forever remind you of a horrible ordeal??

This is only my opinion and people are think to say what they believe.
