ROTFLMBO...quit watching scifi channel. A number of things will give the FALSE appearance of spirits. Smoke from a cigarette, smoke from anything, a car muffler, steam, dusting a dirty spot in the room or striking a dirty cushioned chair. (I just checked mine, no setting for spirits). You can also create the effect of a spirit with most any photo editing program. Simply taking pictures of lights outside at night without the flash and moving the camera slightly will make some wild pics. You can make "orbs" too....just use the flash in a brightly lit room. Have fun, but don't send them out in email saying if I do not pass them on I will have bad luck the rest of my life.

Aperature-control - if you are using a digi.
You may also try the "program" mode with the factory settings.
Make sure your camera is set to allow you to take multiple pix on the same thing in sequence.
Practice in your house at night with candles - blow them out and try to capture the smoke on film.
