It is simple, the democratic party did it. They all were into cotton plantations with much to gain. If labor was lost then their profits would fall. So there you have the story, contraries to history that is written.

Contrary to some of the answers provided, it was John Wilkes Booth, not John Wilkes Oswald. He was caught right after he shot Lincoln, and many saw him do it. There's no conspiracy about it. This is Lincoln, not JFK.

actually lincoln did not die contrary to popular belief, what actually happened was that booth shot off his hat and then lincoln got up and returned fire as depicted in the now classic lincoln doccumentary called "police squad" starring leslie neilson.
