It does depend where you live, but you should not mind paying whatever if you can find a good one. Try and go on recommendations rather than the price that 'unknowns' want to charge. You could pay more in the long run with extra work for the decoration, or just for the clean-up.
I have never had anybody call me asking my rate, everybody that calls me has called me due to a recommendation and invariably, because of my reputation, I get the work.
By the way, I'm on the south coast (UK), medium sized town and I charge £140 a day. ( and I'm not looking for any more work thank you).

In the Midlands a year ago I was quoted £180 for a room to skim plaster over existing walls.
I suppose it depends what you want plastering and your local area rates

Well my dad has JUST retired as a carpentor and he hired a plasterer whom had over 10yrs experience and knew what he was doing for £90 a day. But charged his client probably double and a bit. Its the way buisness works mate.

For pity sake. It all depends on the area that you live in and if you want professional work or half assed. Call around your local plasterers for price and also try to get customer feedback on your top 3 choices.

if your talking about needing a plasterer, a good one is worth the rate he charges whatever it is . good ones charge by the size of the job usually,£20 per hour and if good well worth it.
