I guess you can kinda consider MDs. MDs are Boeing/McDonnell Douglas. They partnered for this one. I'm not sure of an aircraft they independently made.

All Boeings prior to the 707 did not start with a '7'.

There was the 377 Stratocruiser, the 307, the 247, and the Model 80, the 314 flying boats, and others.

I wouldn't count the Douglas airplanes as Boeings; none of them were designed after Boeing purchased Douglas, so they should stand on their own, with their own lineage, in my opinion. The DC-3, for example, is definitely NOT a Boeing--it's a Douglas DC-3. And the later Douglas (and later McDonnell Douglas) airplanes shouldn't be called Boeings, either, even if Boeing tried to re-name them (like the MD95 / Boeing 717--regardless of the name, it's still a Douglas).

The early models didn't begin with "7"

Do a search for the Boeing Model 377 Stratocruiser, a beautiful airplane that preceded the jet age. Another early model was the Boeing 247. Unfortunately, it competed with the Douglas DC-3...unsuccessfully.

Sure they did the made a series of DC and MD. The DC series was the DC-8, DC-9, and DC-10 and the MD series was the MD-80, MD-90, and MD-11. The link below will show you all of the out of production models from Boeing and you can click the aircraft type to get more information.

All Boeing airliner are named 7X7, starting from the B.707 at the end of '50s, to the B.777 and future B.7E7.
But of course Boeing are not the only commercial airplanes in the world, and in the late years is not the biggest producer.
The new biggest producer of commercial airplanes is now Airbus, with A310, A320, A321, A330, A340, A380, ecc...
Flying around the world there are also a lot of McDonnel-Douglas(MD-80, MD-11) , Lookeed-1101 "Tristar", and ATR-42&72 and a lot of ex-sovietic planes like Tupolev, Antonov, ecc.

My favourite Boeing bird of all time is the 737-300. I have to say, the Boeing 737-300 was absolutely fantastic. I have been on the 737-300 simulator many times and found it an easy to manage and easy to control bird. And of course as a passenger it gives you a pretty easy ride. Plus it's surprisingly powerful.

No. Look at the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress, just one example of many.

Yep. Back in the really early days, they made a bunch in the form "Model ##(#)".
