Please be advised that it has been theorized that the wheat they used at the time in their bread carry a bacteria that excretes a chemical that causes hallucinations. The bacteria forms when stored any length of time. It would not be hard to believe that some people if not all were affected by this bacteria at the time, not to mention the high amounts of mercury that was consumed at the time, before people were aware that mercury causes dementia or even that some fish carry high contents of mercury. Consuming mercury will eventually cause a human being to become mentally unstable in higher amount people will actually go insane.

Not sure what this question means, but I know it's safe to answer no. The Bible is an ancient document of recorded history which can be verified as being accurate in all matters with which it deals, includung science.There are more manuscripts to verify that the Bible has been accurately translated than any other ancient document- 77 manuscripts that are known to exist. Homer's Illiad comes in at a very distant 2nd with about a dozen manuscripts, yet no one questions it.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
