My son sleeps on a foam mattress. He keeps having these bites on arms, legs and body. I vacuum and steam dry the mattress and pillows but the bites came back after a while (2weeks or so). Is there any way to really get rid of the bugs ? Do tthey live in wooden bed frames as well ?

bed buga are extremely hard to get rid of. You MUST have repeat visits from an exterminator

Dust mites, although ugly, are microscopic and wouldn't be able to bite through a human skin to show an effect.
Most probably they're spider bites however small or some other outside insect. Look around the bedroom too. It's not only the bed you should be concerned about. How about outside, where he plays?

Some types are very hard to get rid of. You can clean real good with hot soapy water and not get them all, we're not talking hundreds but, thousands. Spray and bomb the room.

Wash everything in HOT water especially sheets and such. Could be several things coming from several places (ie other kids, outside, clothes in the closet, etc). Also consider getting something that kills lice and those types of bugs to spray around.

Maybe it's time for a new mattress. And there probably dust mites which bite as well. They dont live in wood so dont worry about that.
