I mainly use After Effects program but also use Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, DVD Studio Pro, etc. And I'm also trying to get into 3D program like 3D Max. I was gonna buy 24-inch iMac(2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor), but then some people told me most of 3D artists use PC, not Mac and that pc is so much better with 3D programs. Is that true? if I possibly wanna run 3D program in near future, should I get pc instead? I have no idea about pc computer and not so much familiar with technical terms either.

Would anyone recommend the good computer to run graphic programs, possibly with detail information about graphics card, speed, etc?
Thank you so much!

there are a lot of people who will tell you that macs are better for graphics, these are people who like to regurgitate things they hear. while a mac system is wonderful and solid, there are no good macs made as a graphics workstation because they are proprietary. you could do just fine with a 24 inch imac for graphics, and probably never have a problem, but you are spending double what you need to spend, and getting half the power. build a pc that skimps on hd space and dvd drives and sound cards and usb ports, and spend that mac money on a fire gl or quadro graphics card and a serious processor, and 2gb of ram. you can build a system like this with the same 24 inch screen for around 1000 dollars, tops, maybe much less.

I been told the Apple G5 series desktops are the best for graphics processing. But any computer with a fast processor like the new Intel Core 2 Duo chips can multitask graphics and stuff better than Macs. I can run 3DS Max on my computer no problem, and it's only a Athlon 64 3700+ with a Geforce 7800 in it...

A customizable ALIENWARE. You can fully customize it, get info on how much of each thing you need, and get a free tee *haha*

here it is:
http://www.alienware.com/configurator_pages/Area-51_7500_r3.aspx?syscode=PC-AREA51-7500-R3&subcode=SKU-DEFAULT

Alienware area 51 desktop. Starts at 1800 ends at about 15000. If the specs were compared with any other computer it would be more that 2500-20000 *I did the math myself with DELL*

After a typical (shop-offered) residing house windows "sparkling set up", you need to place in all motherboard and video drivers until eventually now you do something. % out your MoBo and photographs card (look interior the case) and get the drivers from the respective producer's website. TIP: in the experience that your laptop got here with restoration Disks, you need to have used them, particularly of (shop-offered) residing house windows.
