We get what we deserve ..And with the corruption and the immaturity
of both parties there's no wonder why it flip flops back and forth We now have a president with some integrity but a bit of a bad decision maker... And the last one had little integrity made some bad choices also... But they both made some good choices to!

I'm wondering if things will be worse in the future because of the generation we are raising now? They have a lack of hope and much disrespect.... Our standards as a whole are falling short from times past... It's going to be tough as a child growing in this time.

If Christians don't humble themselves more and become more proactive in the political arena and I am not talking about the religious ones I am talking about the realist Christians that understand and live by Gods principals and emulate the power there of, kind of Christians...Then maybe we might have more peace more freedom and some security ...

God can only rule when man actually gives of himself what God requires!

I think the media for the most part put the spin on this election because things have changed over the course of Bush's watch and good things have come out of it as well as bad... But it was the same in Clinton's time too.........

Pray and be active! Gods will is the most important thing anyone can do in this life!

The voice of the people is the voice of God. It is the people who choose their leader. There was a time when God speaks through his prophets as to how Israel should live until a time came when the Jews clamored for a leader they will call their King. With warning to them about what will happen, God gave them a King and it was Saul and the rest of the Kings that succeeded him where God's choices until mamn learned other ways of choosing their leader.
Other country's leaders of course were through successions of Kings from a Royal family or dynasties which mostly are also claimimg that their choices are God inspired.
In the Letter of Paul to the Romans 13:1-14 Say everyone must submit himself to the government authorities, for there is no authority except which God has established.........

God Allowes, He does not fix the election. He is a God of circumstance and there is no set time where He lives, unless He sets it. It is always Now for Him and His biggest concern is that ALL make it into the family of God. There are stol;l prophetic things that have to take place and in some cases it may take some ushers to bring on the enevitable. You would wonder why sometimes He lets so and so be a leader, but He will allow the anti-Christ to rule too. But in the End, He wins and He knows it already. That is really the beginning of it all for the followers of Christ. So His ways are not our ways and we have to learn to surrender to what ever He choses. We need to respect our leader the same way we do anyone. With much discernement, to know who and where they are coming from. You do not have to do anything that you feel is not of God, no matter what man says it. So yes He allowed the Democrats to take over. I think they will help to usher in some things that are more liberal then the Mind of Christ, but the Republicans are not withour sin either. "Thou shall not kill". No justification PLEASE. If you love your brother as your self, you wont.
The Rev.

I spent a lot of time praying about the elections and so did many other Christians. The results don't strike me as being God's perfect will, but perhaps they were despite what I hoped to see. The important thing I think for Christians is to not make the mistake we (me included) made with Clinton: sulking and praying he'd be impeached/voted out; we need to seriously pray for Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (whether he becomes senate leader or not) to get saved! It could be that God put them in power deliberately and wants his children to pray for life transforming miracles to occur in their lives.

It's kind of a sticky wicket for some people.

"God's in control" - I hear that a lot. But generally only when things are going the way that they want them to, otherwise they cite "free will".

For myself, the election result have nothing to do with the will of anyone but the voting populace of the united States.

So was it the will of God that George Bush was elected President in 2000 and 2004?

Is it the will of God that Barney Frank keeps getting elected to Congress?

God is in charge of everything, in that he allows and disallows. Politics is unsavory business. All leaders elected are appointed by God, whether they be good or bad. God has a reason for everything that he does, although we may not be able to see it right now. God looks at history all at once---the past, the present and the future. In this way he can control every event that takes place in order that his plan be fulfilled in his way. Mankind has freewill, but that free will is limited by God. Man does not control God----God controls man.

God's will is going to be done no matter what the election results are. What is already written will come to pass and nothing any of our elected officials do will change that.

No, because god is not registered to vote.

even if he were it is the will of the american people. god would only get one vote just like everyone else.

It would only be the will of god if god did in fact vote for the winning candidate. but as he is only entitled to vote in certain elections depending on where he resides, the entire thing can not be the will of god.
