I honestly believe that there is power in the spoken word. Without being able to vocalize my desires, it would be a lot harder to get my three year old to bring me a beer & my smokes.

No. Thoughts are much more powerful than words. Only journalist belive words are powerful. A thought is born, and it leads to an action or word. This is far more deadly. So have good thoughts at all times.

Words are only expressions of thought. It is the thought that is the real cause. If you can control your thoughts you can control your words.

So learning how to control the thoughts is the begining of wisdom. When thoughts are focused, results are fulfilling, and words are meaningful.

I agree, words can be very powerful, more so than actions sometimes. Negative statements, hurtful words, gossip......it'll will come back to haunt....for sure....
