We did this way back in high school as a project ... just a one year time capsule from Sept thru May. If I made another one, I'd put in a newspaper ... maybe a couple magazines ... one "newsy" like Newsweek and another "fun" one like Entertainment Weekly. If it was just for me personally, I'd also make a list of everything I wanted to do over the next (5 years ... 20 years?) or a list of the way I thought things would be by then. I'd also put in a CD with pictures ... maybe a movie? Gosh ... I just realized how boring I am. Excuse me while I go weep ...

Everything you and what matters to you. Photographs, Signature scrolls, Essays, Telephone Books, Credit cards, Current newspaper and magazines, an old license plate, or drivers licence, Flags, Clothing, money, favorite seeds, Forecasts of what life will be like from educators or theologians of your time, your favorite music and song on a cd...or a recorded tape of you singing. Maybe a tape with your voice and a few words of advise. If you have a favorite movie you seen...put the stubs in there. Be creative draw a picture and sign it. Throw in samples of your favorite toiletry...make up you wore or your favorite cologne. The headlines that day, special clippings from newspapers, Maybe a ancestor family tree, Just make sure you protect things, and use an airtight container. Good luck. and Have fun.

A newspaper, a grocery store flyer to show prices of food, a penny, dime, nickel, quarter, $1, $5, $10 -all with the current year on them, a letter to my family and a photo of my home-to see how much it changes.

The t-shirt my newborn daughter wore when she came home from the hospital. She's 11 now and can't believe it ever fit her... I'd love to see the reaction when she shows it to HER child someday!

Letters, pictures, anything that would remind the person who found it of what happened in the past.

Plastic containers. Look how ridiculous they are but also how necessary they are too. I am speaking about containers for storage, leftovers etc.

i would put things of historical importance in it, with explanations of why it is such, in such as way that when it was all put together it would paint a picture that could be understood by all.
