Problem is that as soon as you light the fire you're going to attrack moths - you just felt as soon as GWB started his crusade that it was going to do more for the terrorist recruitment cause than anything else.

what i find astinishing is the bare-faced cr@p that man has admitted to. he has been quoted this year as saying something like, "the hardest thing for me to do is to try to fit Iraq in to the War on Terror"

he's taking the world on a nightmare journey - thank goodness he's had his mandate partially withdrawn!

well as a matter of fact one of the biggest reasons we've yet to capture Osama, a key objective, was because we didn't use enough troops in the early stage of the Afghan Campaign. One of the reasons we weren't using a lot of troops was because the Dems. were whining about how the Soviets had been defeated in Afghanistan because they sent too many troops. We did the "multilateral" thing of trusting our Afghan allies to do a job we should have done by ourselves instead. It's being multilateral in that region that's making us lose. Iraq's a little different though...
