and when we buried her dad refused to dump the urn. I have this recurring worrie that her soul is trapped in there and can get out. Do you think that could happen, I am considering digging it up and dumping it. Or do you think over time the urn will break from the ground pressure?

I know this is a weird question but it is something I am worrying about.

Since souls have no mass or substance, they can't be restrained by what we perceive as an encasement. Only something in the spiritual realm can effectively "trap" a soul.

Don't worry. Nothing bad can happen to your grandma anymore-- souls can't be trapped in an urn.

Sweetie, the minute your grandma passed, her soul went to straight to Heaven. All that was cremated, was her human shell,
she doesn't need it anymore. Everything that is/was your grandma is in safe keeping with God! :-)

Here soul is already gone from her physical remains. Let it be.

If you desire different comfort. All thing are possible for God. If she is one of God's Children God will search high and low and do anything necessary to find her and bring her home with God.

my belief is that when you die you lose the physical body and regainm the spirtual form of yourself. your grandmaws spirit isn't trapped in there her spirit is free again and lives through her family and good concerned grandsons like you. don't worry shes okay ashes are just what trapped is in life from being free, shes free now.
