I am a full out Born Again, Bible Believing, Southern Bapt., Christian.
And there are times when i hang my head low over the actions and speech of Christians.
We are targets and some dont realize how much they hurt.

I blame the preachers of these Christians, just as a child who is rotten and out of control because the parents are at fault, so is the preacher. Also the Christian themselves are to blame for not reading the scriptures and understanding the wisdom of God, I guess it's easier to get the condensed version from the preacher.

They make my heart ache. I have sympathy, and understanding for them. Christianity is not a reflection of how I feel. If someone is going to judge me because for being a Christian because of someone else's action, I will understand, but I will also try to shine Gods love though myself by not getting angry, resentful, or bitter. I pray for those Christians to find the truth, to let go of their beliefs and pray that they do the will of God, not their own.

Yes, definitley. When I say Christian, people assume I must be like some of the rude, or pushy ones they have run in to. I wish people could at least look past their experince with the "bad" christians, and look at each of us as individuals.

to be ashamed of them would require me to judge them. I've got enough problems of my own.
