It chaps my *** when they ask stupid question's like dont you feel bad for killing animals......? our you can go to the store and buy food...... That the animals family misses the one we have kill... It just sickens me its like they think that a deer is going to stand up and talk to them......Saying how cruel hunting is i bet they have never seen what happens when they starve to death.......Or how many of them are hit by cars and there kind let them go to waste.... I dont see them saying anything about that.....! I am a Bow hunter and very proud of it.I HAVE GREAT RESPECT in each deer i shoot.I thank God for what he has given me and as long as God keeps letting them walk in front of me i will keep shooting them.... how many anti's give there hard earned money for the conservation of wildlife.... I pay hundreds of dollars each and every year to make sure they are around for along time...and i do kill predators because if there numbers get to high then other game suffers...

You hit the nail on the head when you said stupid actually ignorant would be a more appropriate term. Last week there was another guy going on about the anti's, I invited any anti with an intelligent argument to come forward and send me an email so that I could prove their beliefs to be unfounded. Not one responded. It is because they don't have any foundation for their belief. They all want to yell and scream but if we all calmly approach them with logic they will stop.

Good on you. They will never understand though. But they will walk around with leather belts, Leather Purses. All while looking over the nice displays of carved meats in the meat section of the grocery store:

I ran into an Anti once: Has was protesting the slaughter of COWs by hanging rib0eyes off herself...i had to go ask her one simple question: WHY in the heck are you standing here protesting cow slaughter when you supported it directly by purchasing the steaks to hang off you body??

She had no answer: go figure that is the mentality we deal with..I mean seriously. Should she not have got some fake plastic toy meat.

Thanks

i won't be in a position to declare that i'm fed up with them. I stay in Texas. There at the instant are not too many anti's around right here. They do pi$$ me off although. do no longer kill bambi. it relatively is advise...And permitting them to starve to dying on overgrazed land is outstanding??? nicely, because of the fact we are turning out to be rid of the bears and the mountain lions, there are not any organic predators for those products anymore, or very few...Ask an common question. might you particularly have human beings going out taking photos bambi, or have a mountain lion eyeing your toddler???

I have to admit, I don't like hunting. I'm a softie when it comes to animals. I don't like to think about hunting, I don't like to even think about the slaughter of cows & pigs for food. No, I'm not a vegetarian.

However, I do see the need for hunting, especially deer. They are overrunning our area. I see atleast 2 or 3 a day on the side of the highway where I live. It is probably better for them to be shot by a gun or arrow and die quickly than to die of a broken neck after being hit by a car.

I don't like hunting, I would never do it and I asked my husband to stop. I don't eat deer meat, I just can't stand the thought of it. But I do not criticize those that hunt as long as they make it a fast kill and use the meat.

Personally, I don't hunt. Not because the animals are people too, but because hunting has become an idiotic sport in most states.

When I was young, you actually walked out into the woods and looked for an animal to kill. If you had one, you used a scope on your rifle, but that was about the limit of hunting tech. back in the day. You had a gun for the killing, and a knife to skin the critter with.

Nowadays, hunters go out in their camoflage jumpsuits and orange hats to go sit in a tree while a dumb animal comes to lick the salt off of a strategicly placed salt-lick.

Why should I pack up hand warmers, foot warmers, salt licks, an arsenol of weapons with laser sights, a tree stand with an attached tent, animal urine, animal calls, camo face paint so a deer won't see me sitting there under that bright orange baseball cap, and an assortment of gear that would give a survivalist wet dreams?

This is not hunting, it's waiting...

Frankly, I'd rather walk down to Domino's and hunt myself a thin crust Supreme.

Now, don't get me wrong. I have the utmost admiration for folks who have the resources to actually go out in the woods an HUNT. I wish that my lifestyle and location allowed me that luxury. However, I have nothing but scorn for all the tree stand-sittin', salt lick-baiting, laser scoping, "outdoorsmen" who wouldn't know how to track Bambi at their local Blockbusters.

Rise Peter, Kill and Eat.....
Have dominion over the animals....
If God made them to kill and eat, then why not do it. Isn't that what they are for? I agree some animals are really nice to look at, but some look nicer on my plate.
My boys hunt, fish , and cook. They wil kill just about any animal that moves to eat.I have cooked fish, eel, squirrel, rabbit, deer, turkey, and many other animals, but there are some I prefer not to cook. But some needs to be killed to keep them from killing my chickens.Such as opossum, and raccoon;they like to kill and eat , too.
But once one of my boys killed a snapping turtle out of a pond, and my crazy mother said, you were once a turtle too. How would you like to be reincarnated as a turtle. The crazy things people come up with.

I used to dislike hunting and hunters, but that's because I was ignorant about its purpose. Once I grew up and realized that hunters aren't just a bunch of backwards rednecks, I learned to understand and respect the need to hunt, and why they do it. I'm an animal lover, but that doesn't mean we can just let populations of certain animals grow out of control, because it throws off the whole ecosystem.

I still can't see myself hunting, but that doesn't mean I can sit back and criticize hunters. Those who do are usually extremists or hypocrites who hate hunters, but who have no problem eating beef and pork from animals slaughtered in a factory.

Don't let them get to you - you'll never change closed minds. Just keep doing what you do.

Good points. My native ancestors felt the same way. I am a vegetarian, but
I admire your thinking. Maybe all animals should be treated with the same
respect when they are being slaughtered for the grocery stores.

I don't hunt, but I'm all for it. About, a week ago my dad was driving my car and he hit a deer. It took out one of my lights. I am officially a deer hater.
