Is it of concern to you that so many on the immigration forum are responding in an insulting manner?

I am distressed to see that so many resort to name calling, ie., racist, lazy, selfish, among others. While we debate this very voilatile subject let us remember that the to insult those who are legally in this country serves you no purpose. In order for illegals to earn any credibility or sympathy from those who are your benefactors (through tax-funded services which you enjoy), perhaps you should adopt a more compliant attitude in posting questions and answers.

Bravo Patriot... I have noticed this (particularly "defender of the hated") here and in almost all forums.

Did you see the CNN town meeting on "Broken Borders"... the woman defending illegals wouldn't answer a question... she merely ran on in her prepared manifesto covering the standard points: the border crossed us, it's our land, your economy can't survive without our work... blah blah blah.

I'm a Californian, and honestly have had no KNOWN contact with ILLEGAL immigrants of OTHER than Hispanic origin. My Indian, Fijian, and Russian co-workers all have work-visa's (I'm their supervisor and have to know). My comments are based on first-hand observation.

Yet while in the Navy I lived right on the border in San Ysidro... watched lllegal crossings night and day. I couldn't report them... HONEST !! My reports were REQUIRED to be ignored by INS /Border Patrol because my reporting would violate the illegals' rights due to "posse comitatus".

I pay my high California taxes, and while in San Ysidro, my daughter had to go to a school 5 miles away because the school NEXT DOOR was reserved for ESL students !! An investigation in 1992 found that 85% of those students had PO boxes or false addresses... and further investigation found that those students crossed the border back to mexico each day. On falsely obtained student ID !!

230 students... and at the time, the State said it cost $30,000 per student per year... So that's 6.9 MILLION stolen from the tax-payers from ONE school.

At last an intelligent, reasonable and reasoned question regarding this tragic scenario pitting citizens against those here illegally. It is expected that Americans would react hostilly toward those here illegally who taunt, make threats and in other ways deride citizens from protecting their country and their culture. In every answer I have given I always blame the Activists and our elected officials. The good people have been lied to and promised so much by Activists who are in this for their own gain. Afterall, an Activist without a cause or without ambition to gain elected status, would have no career, no job and no life - in the fast lane. I have been guilty of baiting some of the youngsters who ask baited questions and I have recently come to the conclusions that that is of no value. Thanks for the question and the observations.

I constantly concept of swearing as degrading and suggests that the individual lacks the highbrow potential to hold a well supply of vocabulary. You are proper, swearing is not going to resolve the concern. You can nonetheless rise up for your self with out insulting any person.

You're right, of course, but potty-mouth abounds...and tolerance and mutual understanding and so forth are, well...um, things of the past in some areas...


It's important to look at the facts and tune out the hype as much as possible, with immigration, or any other issue...everyone wants you to take their side of things, without really looking at the facts.

I do agree.Its strange that the pro illegals think its perfectly alright to insult legal Americans of all races and the anti illegals on this forum.But they will attack and report any one that doesn't agree with their point of view.
I never use insulting or any thing that might be misconstrued as a racists word or comment.And yet I get "hate" e-mails calling me terrible names and even threatening my life and my dogs life.I only post facts that I can back up with creditable links .I do wish all the name calling and the playing of the tired worn out race card to end.I wish just once I could see a post from a illegal supporter that contained verifiable facts,not just rhetoric.Prove to me your point with truth and facts not just racists accusations to any and all people that are opposed to illegal aliens from any country.
