1. Start with 50 a day, work up from there.
2. Stomach exercises can be done daily. You cannot wear out the stomach muscles.
3. Do straight situps, as well as crunches. Then turn legs to the sides and do side crunches as well.
4. If the situps and crunches are done correctly, you will probably start seeing a difference within the first month and more so after that.

Good luck!!

Toning your stomach is primarily a function of body fat percentage. Since target weight loss, or losing belly fat only, is not possible, you will have to lose weight overall. Basically, eat fewer calories and burn more in exercising. You can increase your exercising by either going longer or working harder. Sit ups are good, but they will give you core strength, not a smaller waist line. Palates is a good workout for core strength you can do.

If you are not losing weight, exercise more. If you are still sore when it is time for your next workout, exercise less and diet more.

If you have flab from having a baby, you can crunch all you want..it won't go back. Talk to a cosmetic surgeon.
