Sounds like your eye is infected. Keep you finger out of that area. It could also be from rubbing your eye with a kleenx too often. Try some eye drops and IB-Prophen for the pain. Keep your finger out of your eyes, even if this means you have tears rolling down your face. Just dry the tears on your cheek and not your eye ball. Remember: Your Eyes, Nose and Throat are all interconnected. So what's happening in one area DOES affect the other two. You may have something wrong your not aware of as of yet. See a doctor if this does not improve over night. If you scratched your eyeball, expect these symptoms to last several days. Remember to keep you fingers out of there and the kleenex's down to a Bare minimum. Seek OTC drugs tomorrow if things worsen. Seek a doctor by Monday if things get worse after taking OTC drugs. Doesn't sound too serious now, but you are talking about your Eye. As with any infection, drink lots of water and make sure your getting vitamins. Just an added precaution, give you body a break from all the foods that are hard to digest like Red Meat, Sugar, Salt, Coffee, and Alcohol. The more you can keep your eyes closed, the quicker this will heal.

Your eye is always pinkish red on the inside corner. Using cleareyes or a similar SALINE ONLY eye drop, hold your eye open and have some one flush with the eye drop... you could do it yourself, but it's easier to have someone do it. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your eyes and DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT touch the other eye with anything that has been near the red one. Even though you don't have health insurance, I would suggest finding a clinic or a lo-cost doctor to look at it... they may even look at it for free and tell you if you need something for it or an office visit if you go in during an unbusy time.
