I'm so sorry to hear about your son. that is terrible, and is a noble reason for a tattoo. I'm sorry.

Hm, Here's some advice: Don't do anything you don't want to do, take advice, but don't do things based on people's opinion.

There are factors to think about placement:

One: Pain, of course. Keep in mind that places that hurt the worst are places with thin skin, a lot of nerve endings, bone, near bone, fatty tissue, mucus membrane, tendons...etc (That includes but isnt limited to: Chest, ribs, throat, upper inner arm, toues, feet, ankles, thighs, fingers, face, lip, inner lip, genital region) Anything you THINK would be sensitive, is.... So if the pain is no matter to you, go for wherever you want.

Two: But most important: Tattoos affect what people around you think. You should not CARE what other people think, and you wont; if you get this tattoo for YOU (and it seems like you are, and for a noble cause) so that's good. Keep in mind that people are very judgemental about them, and even though worse things are more acceptable that tattoos, and many, many people have them, it can affect your life. People have the stereotyping habits of people with tattoos, and most importantly, it can hurt your chances in future jobs. Unless you are set in yor career, and it won't hurt your job or potential job, then do whatever you want. If you aren't set yet, to avoid job refusals in the future, you can get it in a discreet place. Either one thatno one ever sees, or You could chose a place that you can easily show off, but just as easily hide for jobs (or families if they dissapprove). Keep that in mind, because many people can regret that. You can ask suggestions fromt he artist. A lot fo the design in the placement, placement is very important, so put a lot of thought into it..

Three: of course, you know Tattoos are permanent. I won't go into design and meaningfulness, because you seem like you were thoughtful about the design. Just remember they are permanent and will be with you when you age. If you are going to care later on, make sure you find a good place that usually will stay pretty much the same over years. Keep that in mind, and accept the fact that gravity will have it's way with you, and that elasticity will fail, and you'll be fine.

I'm glad you have your design set, just make sure you get a good, reputable, clean and profesional artist in the same kind of shop. Don't bargain shop too harshly for tattoos. A good Tattoo should not be comprimised for the sake of spending less money. ALWAYS FOLLOW AFTERCAR PERFECTLY!

Just do whatever you want because YOU want to, alright?! :-)

Good Luck.

I'm sorry to hear that your son passed away and think it is a wonderful idea to have this tatoo. I myself don't have a tatoo, however I know a few tatoo artists and their advice is always the same. The size of the tatoo should help you decide where it should go so that it does not look out of place. If you want this tatoo on your lower back, for example, the lettering should be larger (a small tatoo on a larger surface area will look out of place). On a similar note, if you want the tatoo on your ankle smaller lettering will complement the area.
The best advice I could give you on this one would to find a tatoo artist who you have seen his or her work and like it (or go by recomendation) before you get it doneand ask their advice, If you have a couple of areas that you are considering they can advice you accordingly.
I would choose somewhere that you feel is right for you rather than picking a random place because someone else think it will look good. A tatoo is a perminant piece of art work and is personal, especially the taotoo that you wish to have.
I hope that this is of help, and wish you all the best.

PS when you get it, make sure that your after care is spot on. Take the advice of the person who has done the tatoo. Some after care advice that I know of includes keeping it out of natural sunlight for the first year (as if it get burnt this can ruin the tatoo) also keep the tatoo covered for the period of time recomended, it is tempting to have a peek, but again, the advice is all given to preserve it and keep it looking it's best. I only say this as many friends of mine have ignored this advice and have had to pay to have them retouched because of it.
Hope I have helped and not hindered.
All the best

It's just your vagina cleaning out. It's known as Discharge and it's not only normal, but it's also very healthy. The bottom of your belly is where your uterus is. You are getting cramps because it's contracting. It's likely your period will start soon. I know how much pain you are in, (Sometimes my cramps are really bad!), but run yourself a very hot bath and it will help sooth you until you can get some painkillers.

I'm so sorry that your son passed away. A very painful time for you right now.

I think it's a lovely idea to tattoo your son's name. How about on your lower back just above hip line? Or or at the top of your back near the shoulder.

I wish you peace of mind at this troubling time.

I feel sorry for your loss. Why do you want to use Japanese lettering? I would recommend to choose a readable script - if you don't read Japanese yourself, I would refrain from using Japanese characters unless you have someone trustworthy who does the transcribing for you. I DO read Japanese and I already saw people who had characters with a strange or even embarrassing co-meaning tattooed.

put it somewhere that you can see it, but that can be covered up so that other people can't....
i say that because right now the grief is so fresh that it's probably comforting to have people tlak about him...and if you get the tattoo and people see it they will constantly be asking what it means and you'll constantly be talking about your loss....and maybe that's good for right now, but over time it may be hard on you...
i like the idea of having it near your heart...
sorry for your loss

i would suggest not going with japanese, since japanese don't have "letters" but words. why not just do his name in a pretty script or some beautiful font? it would be horrible to get the characters only to find out later that they mean something crazy or nothing at all.

I think on your pelvic bone, a place where only you can see, something like that is private
