Someone told me that they only give you Tylenol? Is that true? Then one person told me percocet? Which is it?

Tylenol with codene is called Tylenol lll (three).It is pointless in my opinion and is used more as a placebo.I did not need any pain medication when I had my wisdom teeth removed because I did not even get sore.I used an ice pack for a couple of hours and took antibiotics.Drugs that reduce swelling like naproxin sodium which is over the counter will ease pain,swelling causes pain which is why they suggest ice packs.
My relative had wisdom teeth removed and did not get any antibiotics and one side swelled up like that Canadian from Bullwinkle.When he got the stitches removed they gave him augmentin which is an antibiotic.It is funny how tough guys driving muscle trucks become jello at the dentist.I am not afraid of doctors they are vainglorious and mistake job security for ability.

I guess it depends on severity of extraction and or patient and their pain tolerance. I have a very high pain tolerance.( So high that I did not feel my contractions when I was giving birth !! ) I had one removed and was given tylenol and ibuprofen. Tylenol for pain and ibu for inflamation. Now I'm looking to have the other 3 I have left removed.

Pain medication, usually stronger than Tylenol - sometimes Tylenol with Codeine plus an antibiotic.

they gave me tylenol w/codeine. i wish i had something stronger because the pain was prety bad for a couple of weeks.

my wife had 4 wisdom teeth out at the same time, they gave her some painkillers then went home to bed, it didn't bleed or wasn't as bad as we were expecting it to be.
don't worry so much you'll be ok.

Most prescribed pain meds would be VICODIN or DARVOCET.
