a click comes from the "click" sound a rifle sight makes when you adjust it for long distances - each click is about 1000 yards.
Of course it does depend on the rifle but the above is for most modern weapons.
While 1000 yards is close to one kilometer (what most people believe "click" means) - it's actually .915 km
