Because our bodies are amazing. If we stop eating, our system goes into starvation mode and tries to protect itself by slowing the metabolism. The result is very slow weight loss.

you have to eat CORRECTLY to lose weight. If you don't eat, the body thinks it is starving and will actually conserve fat. It will actually burn muscle tissue before it will burn fat if you starve yourself.
Eating the right foods will encourage the metabolism and it will burn the fat and sugars as it should resulting in weight loss.

in order to lose weight you have to speed up your metabolism. eating small healthy snacks in between meals, speeds it up.....this really does help lose weight

BECAUSE IF YOUR BODY DOESNT GET ENOUGH ENERGY FROM FOOD. it will start to eat the fat from your body then the fat around your rgans then your organs can deteriate and so on. that is why anorexia is so dangerous. dieting(reducing the total fat intake) is much healthier and excersise is a good idea!

EXAMPLE:
If you want a 1500 cal day diet
3 days of consuming 1800 Calories
then
3 days of consuming 1200 calories
then
3 days of consuming 1800 Cal's.... etc
which actually means you are averaging 1500 Cal's a day
BUT without the body plateauing getting used to it

EATING SOMETHING SMALL EVERY TWO HOURS WILL SPEED UP YOU METABOLISM , IF YOU STARVE YOURSELF FOR A MONTH THEN EAT NORMAL AGAIN YOU WILL GAIN EVERYTHING YOU LOST ... SO THIS WAY YOU WILL KEEP THE WEIGHT OFF..

if you don't eat, your metabolism shuts down, and when you do finally eat again, your body will store the food as fat because you have impaired it's ability to work properly, it goes into emergency mode and stores all food as fat incase you starve yourself again
