I have tried every product they have made, including abreva. Honestly the best thing I have tried, is Neosporin cream with a pain reliever. The secret, I think, is to put it on the area as soon as you feel it tingle. If you wait, you will probably have the full blown cold sore.

*well ALERID is a good medicine for cold coz it has cetrizine in it which is a effectice anti-histaminic drug,use of alerid twice a day(bid)for 3 days reguraly will relieve ur cold if ur cold is in early stage,
*if ur cold has reach last stage the ngo for HATRIC-3 its good medicine as it has both antihistaminic n analgesic drugs in it.
*u can also go with SINAREST it also works in cold sores.

Abreva...its a very small tube...and expensive (about $15.00)...but it works!!!!!
