My mum, my daughters and I all have longer second toes than big toes. Apparently, it is a sign of great intelligence.

Rather than having a smaller big toe I would say that my next toe is extra long! this has caused problems with shoes over the years and that toe has in fact become bent as a result

There is an old wives tale that states that if a persons 2nd toe is larger then the big toe, they will wear the pants in the family. If a man and woman both have this then they will both be stubborn and try to rule the roost.

If you mean the big toe is shorter, then a lot of people have this, and it's not a sign of anything wrong, just genes. I have more to worry about than being happy or unhappy about the size of my big to compared to the second toe. Forget about it, kid! Doesn't mean a thing.

my big toe is smaller than my second toe, also, and yes i am happy about it. To me, this is normal. I think that it would feel weird if the big toe were bigger.

My big toe is bigger than my second toe, and someone told me its a sign of intelligence to have your second toe longer than your big toe, and therefore I sob myself to sleep every night about it wondering why i was born a freak with all my toes decending in order from big toe down to little

i hate my big toes as they're really long. i'd take your small big toes any day. i think shoes are probably a better fit too. i'm going off to cry about my big toes now. sob. hope your happy now that you've taunted me with your small big toes. sob. SOB

I would have thought it made it harder to balance, but otherwise it probably doesn't make much difference. I don't know anyone with toes like that, though
