I suppose there are lots of reasons...And I hate to say it but I would venture to guess that religious differences is the most popular.
I'll use an obvious example; Iraq. Two different sects of the Muslim religion are on the verge of civil war because they believe different versions of the same "truth".

"Terrorism" is the military tactic of the powerless. If terrorist had standing armies they would use them instead they use assymetrical warfare to acheive their ends.

They're on earth because they're earthlings.

It is because they feel threatened by other larger countries that wants to attack them... So in order to protect their LAND, DIGNITY, FREEDOM and FAMILY... They turn to terrorism for they know they are sure to lose if a gun battle was held.... Would u like if i enter your house without your permission and mess things up and then leave?
